Fuel Up to Play 60

A Good Idea

Description

The goal of Fuel Up to Play 60 is to increase consumption of nutrient-rich foods and encourage school children to get at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

In order for a school to begin implementing the program, a Program Advisor must be identified. This person will work with interested students and colleagues to develop a school wellness program using the School Wellness Investigation tool. This tool helps to gather information about the current nutrition and physical activity environment in the school and find ways to improve it. The program also provides access to an interactive Playbook that details various activities that students can engage in to make long-term changes in their schools.
